[Freshly Finished Friday] September 20th, 2013

Freshly Finished Friday is a weekly post where we will spotlight one or more of our recently finished projects.

This week we are sharing a special project that although was not "freshly finished" still deserves it's own special post.

The Wolf Scarf was commissioned by a co-worker who immediately fell in love with our idea to turn a fox scarf into a wolf scarf simply by changing the colors. Those who know me well know that I am fairly obsessed with wolves.

The fox scarf pattern was purchased from Bees Knees Kitting on Etsy. We then worked with our co-worker to determine the best yarns and colors for her. We agreed on Rico Design Essentials Soft Merino Aran, a very soft 100% merino wool. The wolf scarf project required 1 skein of cream and 6 skeins of grey. We used some basic black acrylic from our personal stash for the nose. Our co-worker hunted down her own buttons for the eyes. My baby sister, Alina White, produced the finished item.

This item can be commissioned by contacting me at gwenythlove@gmail.com. It can be customized as a wolf, fox, or any color combination requested by you. We will work step by step with you to ensure your choices in yarn type, colors, and details such as eyes, etc. 50% of the agreed upon commission price is due before starting the project to cover the cost of materials.

Interested in any other knit or crochet pattern you have seen anywhere? Email us to discuss possible options.

Thank you for looking!
