Wow! Where the heck have I been? No posts since November 2013? Shame on me! Well here's hoping this changes all of that!
I decided this year to take part in "A Year of Projects" which is run by a group over on Ravelry. I am hoping it will (a) help me be more productive (b) helps me finish more projects and (c) help me blog more often... Fingers crossed!
As this is week #1 of 52 our first assignment is to simply post a list of what we hope to achieve this year. Easy right? The hard part will be checking in every week to see how I have progressed with this list...

I have many other WIPs and I cannot list them all. I will add more as I dig them out and actually touch them again to make sure they are real... As you can see I have a real starting problem...actually it's not starting that's the problem...it's finishing!
But I did finish something this year!!!
See! It can be done! ;)
What a great list, lots of interesting points and it's sure to keep you interested and motivated and if not we shall all do that also.
ReplyDeleteThanks! This will be a blast!
DeleteWelcome welcome welcome! You can do this! You are gonna love it... And really... If you are feeling like you need a push, I will happily meet you are OUR LYS ;)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Sounds good to me! I will be there tomorrow night! ;)
DeleteGreat list - looking forward to your progress on Sundays. I am going to try to master double knitting this year too!
ReplyDeleteOhh nice! Any idea which project you want to do? I picked up the Craftsy class to see if that would help.
DeleteSandra (Saminar on Ravelry) said she had a heart scarf in her projects that is a tutorial, so I shall be looking that one up.
DeleteThe Galifrey Scarf and the LotR Scarf are my ultimate (very lofty) goals.
DeleteWow, that's quite a list. Sounds like lots of those WIPs are pretty close to finishing, so you can absolutely do this! Lots of gorgeous shawls in there too. Won't it be nice to have a couple of those for the fall weather?! Welcome to YoP!
ReplyDeleteI will be so excited to actually finish a shawl to wear to the office! I have started so many...lol.
DeleteFantastic list. Your needles will be smoking by the time you finish all of this and I will be in awe of all that you do. Love the sweater you finished and put the photo up of. Great color for you!
ReplyDeleteAwww thanks! I have a mentor at my LYS knitting social that has recently started assigning me homework to finish. I never would have completed it if it wasn't for her!
DeleteI like how you're challenging yourself with new techniques and are finishing up old WIPs. That top is great and is terrific on you.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am really looking forward to seeing what I can achieve this year.
DeleteI a newbie too... looking forward to watching out for your posts and seeing how your list is progressing
ReplyDeleteThank you! I will keep an eye out for your progress as well!
DeleteWhat a great list! This is my first year of participating, so I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone's lists and projects progress this year!
ReplyDeleteThank you! And good luck as well on your first year's progress!
DeleteYour sweater looks great on you and you do beautiful work. I too have double knitting on my list of skills to learn and I have a heart scarf pattern listed that's on Ravelry that "doubles" (sorry for the pun..lol) as a tutorial if you want to take a look at it. I think I have it listed under holidays or Valentine's Day...I'm still fine-tuning my list in order to organize it. You will do great this year as people in this group are very talented and very encouraging. I can't wait to see what you've started on next week!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I am blushing! I will take a look at your tutorial, it sounds very interesting. Best of luck to you as well!
